Tamil Nadu is a land of tradition and culture. In ancient time it had been divided into five different lands - Kurinji, Mullai, Marutham, Neithal and Palai. From history we can know that this land was ruled by three various kings called Cheras, Cholas, Pandiyas. The present Kerala in India had been once the province of Cheras. The presents districts of Tamil Nadu including Tanjore, South Arcot and Trichy had been the province of Chola and the Kings Pandiyas had been ruled the present districts of TN such as Madurai, Ramnad and Thirunelveli. We can learn more about the story of different kings of Tamil Nadu in different ages.
Tamil Nadu is one of the twenty nine states of India. Chennai is the capital city and it has been divided into more than 25 districts with the population of more than 8 crores. Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem, Thirunelveli and Tirupur are seven Corporations of this state. There are many historical temples and popular tourist centers in this state. Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud and Yelagiri are popular hill stations of Tamil Nadu.
